Noun a person who organizes and operates a business or businesses, assuming greater financial risks than usual to do so. An entrepreneur is someone who develops a company around innovation. They manage the business and take the risk of its success. While most entrepreneurial businesses start out as small businesses, not all small business owners are entrepreneurs.
Entrepreneurs are innovators who create companies to create new or improved products. They strive to meet a need that is not being met and their goal is to grow the business and, eventually, expand to other markets. At its most basic level, entrepreneurship refers to an individual or a small group of partners who embark on an original path to create a new business. An aspiring entrepreneur is actively looking for a particular commercial company and it is the entrepreneur who assumes the greatest amount of risk associated with the project.
As such, this person will also benefit more if the project is successful.
